Ordering Copper ore: A Product-Specific RFQ Workbook
Ordering Copper ore starts with a clear comparison between your requirement and the supplier’s written offer. This workbook turns the Copper ore product listing into a structured purchasing enquiry. Use the catalog name as the reference, then confirm grade, form, quantity, documentation and delivery requirements for the actual order.

Your Copper ore enquiry record
Give the enquiry an internal reference and revision date. Use the same reference in the quotation, purchase order and subsequent document review so changes can be traced. Identify the person who can answer technical questions and the person who can approve commercial changes.
| RFQ field | What the buyer should supply |
|---|---|
| Product | Copper ore; link to the catalog reference and identify the requested grade. |
| Technical scope | Physical form, measurable acceptance limits and relevant drawing or specification revision. |
| Quantity | Trial or bulk quantity, units, pack size and any repeat-order forecast. |
| Documents | Required COA, SDS, specification, origin information and inspection records. |
| Delivery | Receiving city, country, delivery point, required date and requested Incoterm. |
Define composition separately from the trade name
List the required constituents and the basis used to express composition. Distinguish an alloy designation from the actual elemental limits on your purchase specification. If the application limits particular residual elements, name them individually and state the acceptance values and units. Ask how the offered material will be identified on the quotation, packing list and analytical report; do not infer composition from a photograph or a short catalog name.
Make the quotation comparable
Request separate confirmation of unit price, currency, quantity basis, packaging and transport scope. Ask whether the offer includes the requested documents and any agreed inspection. Record the quotation validity period and the event from which lead time is measured. Compare offers against the same written requirement rather than against a product name alone.
If the supplier proposes a different grade, pack size, form or delivery condition, request a written deviation list. Review each deviation with the person responsible for the application before issuing the purchase order. Keep unresolved requirements visible rather than treating silence as acceptance.
